Das Captain Hollywood Project ist eine Formation, die 1991 zusammen mit Tony Dawson-Harrison alias Captain Hollywood gegründet wurde.

Nach einem Streit mit den Produzenten Ruud Van Rijen verließ Dawson-Harrison 1990 Twenty 4 Seven, direkt nach der Veröffentlichung des Debüt-Albums Street Moves. Kurz darauf veröffentlichte er das Solo Album Do That Thang, welches sich jedoch nur wenig verkaufte. Es folgten die beiden Single-Auskopplungen Do That Thang und Shirley. 1992 traf er die Produzenten Thorsten Adler, Michael Eisele und Thomas Keil, mit denen er das Captain Hollywood Project gründete. Im selben Jahr wurde Susanne Foecker als Managerin verpflichtet. Erst durch die Kontakte der Managerin wurde More and More zum Erfolg.

Tony Harrison alias Captain Hollywood hat von 2000 bis 2010 eine kreative Pause eingelegt. Als Special Guest auf der Fantasy Tour 2010 trat er erstmalig wieder auf. Auf der Tour hat er sein Greatest Hits Album vorgestellt, das im Mai 2010 veröffentlicht wurde. Auf diesem Album sind ebenfalls 4 neuen Songs zu hören. Das Greatest Hits Album ist auf dem Label Yes Music von DJ BOBO erscheinen. Zusätzlich hat Tony Harrison alias Captain Hollywood die neuen Songs von DJ BoBo für die Fantasy Tour 2010 zusammen mit DJ BoBo und seinem Team choreographiert.

Art Garfunkel und Paul Simon bildeten das erfolgreichste Gesangsduo aller Zeiten -

"Bridge Over Troubled Water" erschien Anfang 1970 und wurde ihr erfolgreichstes Album.

Alleine in den USA wurden bereits in den ersten 3 Wochen 1,7 Millionen Exemplare verkauft.

Viele der Songs laufen noch heute ständig im Radio, einige waren auch als Single erfolgreich: Der romantische Titelsong "Bridge Over Troubled Water" landete in US und GB auf Platz 1 der Hitparaden, in Deutschland wurde das fröhliche "Celia" Nr. 1 im April 1970, zwei Monate später schaffte es auch der Panflöten-Song "El Condor Pasa" an die Spitze.

Neben den berühmten elegischen Songs finden sich durchaus auch rhythmische Produktionen wie "Baby Driver" und sozialkritische Texte wie "Keep The Customer Satisfied", so dass für Abwechslung gesorgt ist.

"Bridge Over Troubled Water" zählt zu den handverlesenen Alben, die man vollständig durchhören kann - keine Füller oder missraten Experimente werden den Genuss stören. Die technische Qualität war 1970 durchaus nahe dem heutigen Stand - wer die CD-Ausgabe mit heutigen Platten vergleicht, kann das bestätigen.

Die inzwischen reifen Herren planen übrigens für 2010 nochmals ein Konzert in Dublin.

Sowohl hinsichtlich der Verkaufszahlen als auch musikalisch zählt das Album zu den ganz großen Referenzproduktionen und liegt auf einen Augenhöhe mit beispielsweise "Abbey Road".

Lady Madonna ist ein Lied der Beatles. Es wurde am 15. März 1968 als 17. Single der Gruppe veröffentlicht. Es
erschien wie üblich unter dem Copyright von Lennon/McCartney, obwohl die Komposition von Paul McCartney
stammte, der das Lied auch sang.
Das Stück und vor allem das Intro sind ähnlich zu Humphrey Lytteltons Bad Penny Blues aus dem Jahr 1956. John Lennon half Paul McCartney beim Schreiben des Textes. Die Zeile “see how they run” (dt. „sieh, wie sie laufen“) war ein Vorschlag von ihm.
Die Aufnahmen für Lady Madonna fanden am 3. und 6. Februar 1968 in den Londoner Abbey Road Studios statt.
Produzent war George Martin. McCartney spielte bei den Aufnahmen das Klavier und den Bass, John Lennon und
George Harrison spielten Gitarre – um den besonderen Klang zu erreichen, der ihnen vorschwebte, wurden beide Instrumente an denselben Verstärker angeschlossen. Ringo Starr spielte das Schlagzeug, wobei er Besen anstelle normaler Stöcke verwendete. Während der Aufnahmesitzung am 6. Februar 1968 wurden verschiedene Overdubs hinzugefügt, aber man war mit dem Ergebnis nicht ganz zufrieden. McCartney entschied, dass dem Stück noch Bläser fehlten. So wurden in aller Eile die vier Saxophonisten Harry Klein, Ronnie Scott, Bill Jackmann und Bill Povey engagiert, um die gewünschte Passage einzuspielen.
Die Single erreichte in Großbritannien, Deutschland, Dänemark, Schweden, Frankreich, Australien und in den USA den ersten Platz der Hitparade.
Zur Single erschien im selben Jahr (1968) ein Promo-Film, der bereits in Farbe gedreht wurde. Der Film zeigt die Gruppe allerdings nicht bei den Aufnahmen zu Lady Madonna, sondern bei Aufnahmen für das Lied Hey Bulldog.

The Safety Dance ist die bekannteste Single der kanadischen Band Men Without Hats aus den 1980er Jahren. Die Erstveröffentlichung in den USA fand am 16. März 1982 statt. Geschichte
Das Lied zählt zu Bowies schnellstverkauften Platten und löste den Duran Duran-Klassiker Is There Something I
Should Know? von Platz fünf ab, zwei Wochen später kletterte es für drei Wochen auf Platz eins in UK Top 40.
Auch in den Billboard Hot 100 Charts erreichte es Platz eins.
Das Lied wurde regelmäßig bei der Serious Moonlight Tour (der Name stammt von einer Textzeile des Liedes Let’s
Dance), Glass Spider Tour und der Sound + Vision Tour gespielt.
Nile Rodgers, der Produzent des Liedes war stark von seiner Band Chic beeinfluss. Let’s Dance zählt zu Bowies

Hintergrundinformationen
Zur Zeit der Veröffentlichung kursierte das Gerücht, Monica und Brandy wären verstritten. Beide dementierten dies, Brandy äußerte sich dazu: „We took the song and brought humor to a situation that people had tried to make so serious“. (Wir nahmen die Arbeit mit dem Song mit Humor, viele Leute hingegen nahmen das völlig ernst.) Nachdem Versuche der gemeinsamen Aufnahme in Darkchilds Studio gescheitert waren, nahm Monica ihren Part mit Dallas Austin separat auf. Charterfolge und Auszeichnungen
The Boy Is Mine kam in diversen Länder, u. a. in Deutschland, der Schweiz, Kanada und Australien in die Top 5. In den USA stand die Single 13 Wochen auf Platz 1, in Kanada war der Song sogar 15 Wochen Nummer 1. Das Lied hielt sich zudem 35 Wochen in den französischen Charts. In den USA erreichte die Single doppelten Platin-Status mit über 2 Millionen verkauften Einheiten. Außerhalb der Staaten erhält die Single für weltweit über fünf Millionen verkaufte Kopien die goldene Schallplatte in Deutschland, Vereinigtes Königreich, Norwegen und der Schweiz und die Platin-Schallplatte in Australien und Frankreich. Get Back ist ein Lied der Beatles, das in England am 11. April 1969 als Single veröffentlicht wurde und am 8. Mai 1970 auf dem letzten Album der Band Let It Be erschien. Offiziell wurde das Lied von Lennon/McCartney komponiert, aber auf der deutschen Erstpressung wurde korrekt nur Paul McCartney als Komponist angegeben.

Der Titel des Liedes (dt.: Komm zurück oder Kehr um) kann durchaus programmatisch verstanden werden, da die Beatles zu Beginn des Jahres der kompositorischen wie technischen Experimente der letzten Jahre ein wenig überdrüssig waren, und sich wieder zu simpleren Songstrukturen mit einfachen Arrangements aus Gitarre, Bass und Schlagzeug zurücksehnten. So wurde eine Art Konzeptalbum gleichen Titels angestrebt, das auf große Orchesterarrangements verzichten und sich mehr auf die Wurzeln der Beatles zurückbesinnen sollte. Dessen Veröffentlichung wurde allerdings angesichts diverser Schwierigkeiten innerhalb der Band verschoben und erschien erst nach der Trennung der Band unter dem Namen Let It Be.

Die Gruppe hatte das Lied bereits öfter gesungen, nachdem sie Michelle Phillips damit bekannt gemacht hatte. Deren Vater war mit Fabian Andre, der mit Wilbur Schwandt die Musik für Dream a Little Dream geschrieben hatte, befreundet.
